Pan-African Grain Legume Conference

The joint 2016 PanAfrican Grain Legume and World Cowpea Conference has been tentatively scheduled for the first week of March 2016 in Livingston, Zambia.

The United Nations has declared 2016 the International Year of Pulses (IYOP). To celebrate this important moment the Pan-African Grain Legume Conference will be held jointly with the World Cowpea Conference in Livingston, Zambia. The dates for the conference are Sunday, 28 February to Friday, 4 March 2016. The Global Pulse Confederation is one of several partners actively working to prepare for this exciting event.

Please reserve these dates on your 2016 calendar. This conference will be the second of three conferences supported by the Legume Innovation Lab (LIL) during its 2013-2017 funding period. LIL and its partners will be making a concerted effort to encourage participation by grain legume scientists and graduate students from throughout Africa.
